Jesse Coomer is a breathwork educator and author of A Practical Guide to Breathwork (2020), The Language of Breath (2023), and Becoming the Ethical Breathworker (2026). The Language of Breath is published in English, German, and French, and is held in 113 libraries worldwide per WorldCat. He is the founder of Breathwork//Tactics, a science-based breath training program for first responders, and the founder and lead faculty member at The Language of Breath Breathworker School, where he trains breath coaches worldwide.
Jesse taught English composition, research, and rhetoric at Vincennes University from 2011 to 2022, retiring at the rank of Associate Professor of English to work in breathwork full time. He was a certified Wim Hof Method instructor from 2016 to 2022, is a Vivation Professional and NASM-certified personal trainer, and has trained more than 3,000 students.
His approach is secular and evidence-based, and equally concerned with the human experience of breathing — what research shows, what tradition holds, and what he has observed teaching real people. He works with first responders, athletes, military personnel, and executives.
On the channel, Jesse leads Wednesday Night Breathwork and Coherence Saturday, and hosts Decoding Breath, the channel's research review series.
